Dear Parents/Guardian of LP participants,
We are delighted that your son or daughter has committed to spending 9 weeks of their summer as part of the Leadership Project! We are excited to have them for a summer of training, ministry, and exposure to God, the world, and the church. The college ministry of Campus Outreach San Diego hosting this project and is committed to giving your child a holistically Christian developmental experience. The following letter is meant to inform you with some key information regarding the project accommodations, general information and contact information. We hope that this will serve you in knowing how to pray, get in touch with your child, and be in the know about the project. If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to email us through the form to the right.
The Leadership Project begins on Friday, June 1st and ends on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 (leaders arrive 1 day earlier, Thursday May 31st). The LP will be hosted at the student housing of San Diego Christian College. This is a gated complex with a Resident Life director living on site.

The focus of the summer is the growth and spiritual development of your student through 4 specific avenues: work, training, volunteer opportunities and fun. Firstly, we believe work is a vital part of growing as a person and leader. We have developed relationships with local organizations such as Chick-fil-a and Youth Summer Camps. Secondly, training in spiritual development is another large part of the summer. We seek to provide training such as “how to study the Bible”, “how to interact with others about your faith”, and “how to live and be a leader in your community” among many others. Thirdly, we are developing partnerships with local nonprofits (such as Hope for San Diego) to give back to this amazing city we live in. Lastly, we want to create a fun, unforgettable environment for every student on the LP.
We would love to see you at the LP as well! We are hosting a Friends and Family Weekend from June 22nd- June 24th (will we send out invites as it approaches) where you will get to meet our staff and experience the LP firsthand. We have also asked each of the students to submit days away for trips, graduations, etc. beforehand so that we can foster a concentrated and focused eight weeks of faith, fun, and fellowship. Can you please confirm these with your child so we can plan around their absences and preserve our dynamic for the rest of the project?
