Our Weekly Schedule on the Leadership Project
As You can see, the LP is packed full of training, work and fun. Here's what a normal week will look like:
Trainings:
We seek to give our students the opportunity to develop holistically as leaders. Through Missional life trainings they will learn how to live for a greater purpose, God's purpose. In Devotional life we will discuss what it means to have a vibrant relationship with God as well as practical ways to grow in this. In All of life we want to give specific tools and perspective on unique aspects of life such as finances, work, acts of mercy, developing your strengths, and more. Lastly, Community life consists of each student being mentored in the context of the small group they are living life with.
Work:
We believe the work is a vital part of developing as a leader. We have worked hard to develop relationships with organizations such as the YMCA, Salvation Army, as well as others to provide inroads in each student working throughout the summer. Students may also seek out their own internships or summer school opportunities as they fit into the overall schedule of the LP.
Fun:
Summer should be fun! We seek to provide a safe, fun environment for each student during the summer. Whether through LP wide social events exploring our city (beach, hikes, a Padres game and more) or simply hanging out on the LP, we seek to make this summer one of lasting joyous memories.
